DEMO: Setting Up Your Campaign

In this lesson you’ll see the step-by-step process to set up your product retargeting campaign.

Tools You’ll Need:

  • Facebook Business Manager
  • Ad Creative (You can use a tool like Canva to help you make your creative)
  • Ad Copy (Pro tip: Make a Google Doc where you keep all of your ad copy)

Investment Recommendation:

Your budget depends on a few factors but generally recommend $5/day to get started is a great start. As you see success, you’ll increase this.

For now, you’ll want to test for at least 5-7 days before making a judgement call on how successful your retargeting ad is.

During this time, you’ll be looking primarily at your click-through rate (CTR). 1.7%-2% is the lowest you’ll want to see a product page retargeting ad. If your CTR is 6%-8%, you should be very happy with what you’ve achieved!

Low click-through rate? Try new ad creative and messaging to offer a more enticing reason for your audience to come back.
